Many thanks. This is really useful.
I was also wondering if anyone has the manual for the Mark IXB.

Subject: [NavList 9464] Mark IX sextant manual
glapook has recently been kind enough to add to the list attachments of
several aircraft sextant manuals, including that for the British Mark
IXA sextant. Less easy to find is that for the Mark IX, its predecessor,
which has a six-shot averager. Its operation is not obvious, so I am
attaching a reformatted manual for this instrument, extracted from my
restoration manual on the Mark IX series.
