Zvi Doron replied: "I am mainly interested in visual representations of how the projection is created (cone, cylinder etc. and where he 'light' is coming from) and what the resulting graticule looks like. Also, how suitable it is for various types of navigation and what would be the appearence of great circles, small circles and Rhumb lines." Have you looked at a Bowditch on map projections? Not bad for that sort of thing (the most recent I have is from 1966 and I haven't checked later ones). -FER http://www.HistoricalAtlas.com/lunars
