    Alex,

Any nation state will find trouble rationalizing expensive science. Personally it is very satisfying to know that a fellow human or robot has done the near impossible by performing science directly on bodies beyond Earth. I even feel proud for the robots which is strange upon self reflection.

    scope:

My main question is about "should be" (?)
We have enough unsolved problems here on Earth. Can we really afford
    spending large resources on this?

    Alex.
