Mike, my archive of SS sailings begin with Leg 10 in Mallorca, which is announced as 'the first problem of the new SS', implying that there were others?

Looking for your dates, there seems to be a jump from Leg 38, 14/07/1996, to Leg 39, 14/07/1998, which has a note explaining that SS cruises are in step with the current year's almanac. Is this relevant to your query?

Subject: Navigation-l Mailing List Archive.1997 gaps!

HI folks, Was wondering if anyone noticed gaps in 1997 Archives, namely April, July, August, Sept, Oct, Nov? I have been working the early Silicon Sea problems and possibly some of the solutions are included in those missing months. Sorry if I might be bringing up old stuff( like working old problems!!).
    Thanks much!
