Great to read what all you know about the MA-1 & MA-2 Kollsman sextants. I am a former USAF Navigator & Bombardier who flew using the MA-2 and the later D-1 sextants in the 60s. I am also the Historian for the Air Force navigators Observers Association (www.afnoa.org). Member web sites are: www.james-connally.org (a former big USAF Air Base at Waco Texas where Navs were trained 1950-1966) and web site www.usaf-nav-history. You can post on both the AFNOA and USAF-Nav-History sites. Are you a former nav? We are looking for a MA-2 for our collections; do you ever offer up any of your sextants? I do our museum accessions program and would be interested if you do. I do repairs on the D-1s here for our exhibits. I also set-up the only Navigator exhibit we know of, in the Airline History Museum (www.airlinehistorymuseum.com)in Kansas City, MO at the downtown airport. Looking forward to hearing back from you, Ron Barrett, AFNOA-Historian, USAF NavBomb Ret. (305)797-0745 www.ronbarrett.com, 1406 S.
