    Alex, In addition to Frank's suggestions, you might perhaps find this useful.  I am also crawling up the lunar distance curve, probably falling behind you now.  I have started organizing a lunar distance worksheet for hand calculator reduction.  It is based on Frank Reed's "Easy Lunars" article.  I keep my draft at:
