    I thought of a better "cheat". It's only the data entry page that does this, so let's just make a local copy of the data entry page. Go here:

    Save a copy of the page to your computer. Now edit it with a plain text editor (or using an HTML editor). Wherever you find "MAXLENGTH=3" (or 4) change it to "MAXLENGTH=10". You can also change any of the other "built-in" settings to suit your own preferences such as the preset latitude and longitude. Save the changes, and launch it directly from your local computer.  Of course, if I change the tools online, changes you make in a local copy of the entry page might not work anymore at some future date, but they'll be fine for experimentation.
