Steven Webster (Utrecht University) generates precomputed lunar distance tables. He uses some sort of selection algorithm, based on several criteria including angular distance, distance to the sun and rate of change of the angular distance. These tables are up for download from his website http://www.amfidromie.nl/ld/tables.html  and when looking at this week the tables did include Saturn earlier this week. The selection for this weekend is Rasalhague, Shaula, Kaus Aust., Nunki, Aldebaran and Altair. When looking at the table keep in mind mind that the lower the proplog value, the better. Which means the best match tonight is Aldebaran, closely followed by Nunki.
