I just took a break from studying for that doggone CN exam and stepped
outside in the cold to treat myself to an attempt at my first lunar
observation. I had gone out to turn off the air compressor in my shop and
was stunned by the spectacular view of those two heavenly bodies right from
our front porch, so I just had to give it a shot:

    Venus/Moon
    WT 22h 00m 21s
    WE 08s fast
    ZD +4-1 for DST = +3
    IE 2.7' on the arc
    hs 5d 57.1'
    GPS Fix:
    46d 16' 37.4" N
    063d 10' 48.8" W
    AstraIIIb, 6x30 telescope, split mirror.

Of course at this point I have no idea what to do with the data. First that
    exam...
