    Lunar month
    From: Mike Freeman

A google will reveal the average Lunar month to be around 29d 12h 44m 3s, it will also reveal the shortest and longest to be around 7 hours shorter or longer than this average. However, although it is clear from the tide tables that the quarters can vary considerably I have not been able to determine the exact figure for either the shortest or longest quarter. Someone did tell me they were 5 days and 9 days. This is obviously an approximation and I feel a bit excessive particularly regarding the 5 days. Can anyone give me the correct figures.

    Thanks

    Mike
