Dear Bill,
Thanks for your reply and for your Kind Wishes. You deserve a 4.0 grade for your mastery of the French Language !

I should have been more accurate in my request for information.
Index Error needs to be removed once and only once, one way or the other, i.e. :
- either through removing it as I earlier explained, before entering CORRECTED Sextant value into FER's Computer while at the same time setting setting I.C.=0 into Frank's computer (which I had in mind, but did not make it clear at all), or
- through "your" (easier and sharper) way into having Frank's computer taking care of the Index Correction itself, while entering one same I.C. value for all series of observations and then entering UNCORRECTED Sextant values.
And as long as Index Correction is performed - once and only once trough either method - we then are exactly on the very same wavelength.
Thanks again for your clarification.

Regarding your UPCOMING SUN - MOON LUNARS :
Can you try your upcoming shots with the Moon as close as possible from the Sun - 't should be in just a very few days - and maybe complete a second and more "conventional" set of shots some few days later with more usual distances for all our classical Lunarians following this tread ?.
I bet many are looking forward to them ...
Best Regards
Kermit
