    Re: Lunar Tables updated

Andres, you asked if the latest tables by Steve Wepster are the same as
the ones formerly found on ld-DEADLINK-com. Certainly that site,
which is/was operated by Arthur Pearson, included the tables at one
point. Arthur compiled a bunch of material, mostly generated by the
Navigation List, and assembled it into a web site back in early 2003.
He also acquired the domain name "ld-DEADLINK-com" and pointed it to
the site. Although the POINTER no longer works, the underlying web site
    still exists. It is here:

As I mentioned on the list back in early April of this year, it's all
rather nostalgic since it reflects the status of this list's members'
understanding of lunars as of about March, 2003 with no updates or
    corrections since then.

By the way, Steve Wepster's lunar distance tables contain some of the
same data you can find on my web site:
    www.HistoricalAtlas.com/lunars
under "predicted lunars" (actually a subset since you can pick any year
and more stars on my site), but the format of his tables is closer to
the late 19th century Nautical Almanac and very nicely assembled.
