According to e-mail from Davis, the item has been discontinued (and I didn't get any indication that there were any intentions of bringing it back to market). I found the one for my Mk 25 on EBay (haven't found one for the Astra yet, Plath's "official" line is that they don't make it any more even though it's listed in their online catalog). And while it's nice to have while you're first learning CelNav, I really don't think it's a substitute for learning how to "rock" the sextant back and forth to find the true perpendicular. Besides, you may find yourself in a pinch someday and have to get an LOP without the "training wheels". :-) -- GregR > > Hi folks.
