    I worked out 00021 as the number for 2010

    I worked the problem backwards from a known longitude to isolate the number for year 2010 and got an average of 21 for year 2010 for all of the stars listed.

    I would encourage you to replicate my math...(and let me know if I made a mistake!)

    Also note that in the version that was included in the survival kit there was a printed protractor for use in determining the latitude. There are some pictures on 2-105 and 2-107 that do not make sense without the protractor. If you do build one there are plans for an octant that could be substituted for the protractor elsewhere in this site.
