it was done more or less at the spur of the moment, so no time for elaborate math, I just held it up and let line out till it covered sun, did some minute adjusting and then rotated 90° and tried to follow upper limb of sun until the peg's lower limb touched horizon.
to put mildly I was somewhat surprised how accurate it was.
I suspect it is unlikely to get such a good result if I repeat the experiment.
I was even more surprised to see the 0' figure of the screen dump, guess I used different numbers in at least one place as I got another figure.
this khamal was not as easy to use as a Bris but still got surprisingly accurate LOP.
