Attached is the first page (missing from original post) of the compact haversine table from Wiley. The compact haversine table has worked well in trials and much easier than (1-cos)/2.
The Wiley tables can be further down sized by cutting out only the natural sin, cos, and haversine from photocopies then arranged on a few pages to be kept in the back of the LTA.
