I think perhaps Hanno wanted to know which scales on the Slide rule are used.
I would think that C, C1, CF, CIF, D and DF, the most common multiplication scales on any slide rule are the scales to use and there are plenty of tutorials on the Internet, like "A Complete Slide Rule Manual by Neville W. Young in PDF or the Oughtred Society's Slide Rule Seminar available in PDF on their website would be the best instructions on how to apply those scales and all the scales of a good mathematical slide rule.
Circular Scales are no different than ruler sized straight rules.
