Peter,
you will remember our discussion re: longhand sight reduction during which you demonstrated the use of the Taylor series for cos(). In return I proposed a polynomial that was designed to minimize the choice of possible digits in the coefficients for convenience of execution and memorizing. Also, I tried to limit those digits to the even digits 2,4,8. I was not entirely successful then. In the meantime I found a polynomial that indeed fills my wishes. Please see attachment. Of course, this issue is not an important one but I am including it here for completeness.
