Hello Gordon. Yes. The Long Term Almanac 2000-2050 is basically an expanded version of the one in Bowditch, which makes it more accurate and easier to use. Too, the quadrennial correction factors in the Bowditch Long Term Almanac are in large part incorrect, both in sign and in amount, leading to quite large errors if these tables were to be used today. How that happened, I do not know. But it is quite easy to show by comparing predictions from the Bowditch Long Term Almanac to those of a recent Nautical Almanac.
