I had one once. As I remember, it was about 2X2 and needed a larger chart table than I had. Worked well with a 3ft steel straightedge.

Hi Annaig,
You can find elements on Littlehales diagrams in "Monthly Weather Review", June 1905, pages 242 to 248 and january 1906, pages 7 to 9. You'll find them on the Internet (I don't remember the exact place), but I can send you copies if you wish.
Here is my proper study about diagrams (in french).
