Jose, I'd actually prefer an inverting 'scope. My special interest is the old nautical astronomy, and that's what the old timers had to work with. According to the nineteenth-century navigation manuals an inverting 'scope takes time to get used to, but after that is no trouble. Lewis, of Lewis & Clark, mentioned that he preferred the inverting 'scope for all his sights. I can't afford one of the old vernier sextants, not a topnotch one anyway, so want to put an inverting 'scope with collimating wires on the sextant I have and trust. That's a great idea, fitting a spotting 'scope to your sextant! If I can't get an inverting 'scope, that's what I'll do. Bruce
