Having spent the last 11 years at sea in the US Navy, I have seen the red over green mast-head lights on occasion but not very often. I've seen it around the Virgin Islands mostly (the area where I have spent the most time due to being stationed in Puerto Rico for a while) but I have also seen it around the SE United States and Chesapeake Bay in the vicinity of Annapolis. -----Original Message----- From: Navigation Mailing List [mailto:NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM] On Behalf Of Jared Sherman Sent: Monday, October 13, 2003 20:59 To: NAVIGATION-L@LISTSERV.WEBKAHUNA.COM Subject: Re: Lights etc. Trevor- So, you've only seen it in Germany? Not in Canada? Anyplace else in the EU? Anything by our members in the UK? My point was that here among US sailors, it has never [sic] been seen in domestic waters. When I ask fellow sailors, they tend to be fellows not aliens. As Einstein said, everything is relative.
