    Second solution taking in account that this is a "vertical lunar" ...

    From position N47°00.0' / E 009°50.0' - given the Heights indicated we are in Liechtenstein, no ? - compute a list of apparent altitudes Hs for both MOON LL and Procyon as a function of  UT between UT= 03:35 and UT = 03:45 UT.

    Reverse interpolation yields : :

    UT = 03h40m16s1 , MOON LL Hs = 40°59.32' and Procyon Hs = 10°49.52' which yields LD = 30°09.8' , as advertised.

    Given the uncertainty addressed in my previous post, I am submitting UT = 03h40m20s +/- 1 minute of time.

    What are your numbers ?

    Kermit
