Did you know that some Boy Scout style compasses and some of the more serious backpacking compasses come with a little built in pelorus? Personally the Davis handheld compass with a little pistol grip, even an LED has a clear plastic pelorus built in and works for me just right.
I downloaded Stellarium and it seems kludge as best, maybe my computer just isn't up to snuff or speed.
I see a lot of talk about Starry Night too, anyone ever use The Sky by Software Bisque? It is now in V. 6 and has always proven itself to me time and time again. I like the charting software that Fugawi produces too.
