    Tom,

I am in Cromwell, CT.  (Coincidentally, I was in New London today, at the Coast Guard Academy.)  I am starting a class on Wednesday night at the Connecticut Fire Academy in Windsor Locks, which is really too much of a trip for you, but we plan to be taking sun sights the next weekend that Mother Nature allows, probably at Hammonassett.  You are welcome to join us.  You will have the opportunity to use several different micrometer sextants.  If you are interested, let me know and I'll keep you posted.

    Stan

In your opinion, what is the quickest, easiest and least expensive way to learn celestial navigation.  I just purchased a Davis Mark 3 and would like to learn the basics as a backup for electronic marine navigation.
    Thanks....
