Unfortunately, the patent includes this text: "The celestial object locating device determines the angle between selected visible stars and compares these angles to angles between known stars to determine the location of all other stars." But the SkyScout doesn't work that way. The patent perhaps covers a broader family of devices, maybe helping Celestron get around Meade's "GoTo" telescope-pointing patents (?). -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
