Re: Lat/Lon by "Noon Sun" & The Noon Fix PROVE IT
    From: Hewitt Schlereth

Years ago I did a book on Lat/Lon by Noon Sight, so I've been
following this topic with considerable interest. I dusted my book off
and using the altitude and time data from George's spread sheet "Long
Around Noon.xls (SS)" refreshed myself on the method which consists of
taking from a table based on the north or south component of a boat's
speed, a longitude correction in minutes of arc.
My work sheet is attached, but to cut to the chase, I got a longitude
1' less than George's; latitude the same as his.
