I was hoping to avoid the situation wherein one of the 13 data points fell 
directly onto the meridian crossing.  In real life, we are unlikely to have 
this happen and it skews the results.  That was the only reason for the 
scatter of the observations in time.

Although Frank has not formally accepted, I still hope for him to provide his 
solution of Latitude and Longitude.  Right after his taxes of course!

Jim - in off list communication you indicated that you would prefer the 
observations to follow a slightly different pattern.  I see no reason why the 
observation pattern can't meet your method.  Or would you prefer to just try 
it the way it is?
