I - finally - received the .65 cst silicone fluid last week, two months after ordering. The refill technique worked like a charm, and the viton disc seems to hold the chamber tight.
On my Kollsman, the filling port is on the right side, not against the periscope. So I can actually refill with the chamber still attached. Very conventient.
For your records - turning the bubble knob towards INCREASE would suck in the liquid. Reversing on would push it back out, but also and much to me satisfaction, push out air bubbles. I managed to substantially fill it, and know able to produce a very fine bubble.
