David C asked:" Does the US Air Force still employ navigators on its C130s?"

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess you didn't notice that I spoke to the NAVIGATOR on the brand new C-130. I included the photos of the navigation equipment in the brand new C-130 for the interest of the original poster, a former Air Force NAVIGATOR, I knew he would recognize it. But for those who don't, the first photo shows the Kollsman periscopic sextant mount in the overhead in the cockpit. The second shows the sextant storage box strapped to its normal spot on the back wall of the cockpit. The third shows the navigator's desk with a copy of HO 249 volume 2, the standard navigation tables.
