Hello to all,
Just to remember to our NavList Community an indeed rare event.
Last same event occurred in 2004 after (much) more than a century, and next to come after Jun 06th, 2002 will occur not sooner than one another century after (if not much more again).
On June 06th next at or about 01h32m27.4sTT - everybody can thus reckon such TT time into UT using whatever TT-UT value (s)he wishes :-) - the second planet of the Solar System will transit over the Sun Limb when seen from the Third such planet.
The geocentric distance between both centers will be close to 554". This value can be improved, I do agree.
Any NavList Members with any plans to observe it ? Visible from California, non ?
Kermit
