Andres Ruiz wrote about problems he had found with the IoN CD with papers on celestial navigation. I endorsed what he had found, and contacted David Burch, of the Navigation Foundation. David has sent a prompt response. "Summary to pass on: thanks for the notice. we agree with what you have found and we offer all our apologies for not having spotted these flaws earlier. We will check with the ION to see how we might remedy this." As for those papers which have turned out not to be printable, David tells me that this was quite unintentional. He adds, as a possible temporary work-around, this suggestion- "the documents mentioned have the single restriction applied of no printing, everything else is allowed... which is not a common setting, since one can in fact select and copy the document to another program and then print it, albeit, not as pretty." I havent tried that out, yet.
