Welcome Johannis G.
You will enjoy the many and varied posts, along with the
writings of a few well meaning eccentrics . All told it is , in my humble
opinion, a well meaning group who are well informed (usually) and informative.
My only words of advice are , do not take offence at some of the
by-play…just consider it a bit of sporting between friends.
Regards , Irvin. F. Haworth/Canada

Subject: [NavList] Introduction
As a new member to the list I would like to introduce myself.
My name is Johannis Geelhoed and I became interested in celestial navigation
several years ago. I stumbled on the NavList trough a link on the web-site of
Nicolas de Hilster, and have been keeping up via the NavList archive for
several years.
I have some questions so I became a member. I grew up in the Netherlands along
the North Sea coast and after my engineering education moved to England where I
lived again along the North Sea coast. In the early 1980's I moved to the
middle of Iowa in the US and I am still here. (A long ways from any salt water
-:) Sofar I have learned a lot from reading and hope to broaden this by joining
into the communication.
Regards,
Johannis Geelhoed
