    I have attached and excel sheet with the analysis.
    
    The error is similar to the one on considering The Earth spherical, and could 
    be acceptable for navigational purpose.
    The problem is that the error is a "concept error".

    Could you tell us, HOW wrong? In other words, if you use the current edition's 
    tables, what is the worst error that you would incur in actual practice??

    PS: I'm not doubting that it's wrong. That's normal in an obsolescent subject 
    like traditional navigation. I'm just curious to know how significant the
