    Hi. I've wondered the same myself. Some prefer an Arabic pronunciation due to that lineage and history.  My choice is to only pronounce out loud those that have an overwhelming consensus. Shy, but avoids awkward discussions about the matter. For instance,  Polaris. Rasalhague- uh. Ras Alhague ? Or Rasal Hague ? But to the point,  I know some limited books have this info. The Stars by H.A. Ray (remember Curious George books- same guy) has this info but not for all navigation stars. So, use your best guess and in public, don't argue about it. Just move on.
