Great demonstration of side error in this situation. I never try altitudes as low as 10.... normally 25 or higher up to about 65. But I was surprised that the small offset of 5' can cause a noticable error in SD measurements. It apparently isn't an issue for LOP's or lunars, but I'll keep all this in mind when comparing the SD observed with the published figure. As long as the delta is stable I'll just make that adjustment each time I measure SD. Thanks for your help.
