    I don't think wires play any role in the usual IC checks
    with Sun or stars.
    Also, I don't think moderate side or collimation error
    can affect these IC checks.
    This is definitely so with the stars (some small side error even
    helps with the stars) and my computation also shows that
    side arror of few minutes also cannot affect IC checks with the Sun.
    In no way can these things create an effect so large as 0.7' in IC.
