    Increments and Corrections
    From: Stan K
    Date: 2013 Jul 16, 12:42 -0400
After years of having been taught, thinking, and teaching that the Increments and Corrections table at the back of the Nautical Almanac is the same year after year, I have discovered that this is not the case.  I have found at least two of the almost 22000 values in the table that changed between 2000 and 2002.  (This might have happened in 2001, but I do not have a 2001 Almanac.)  Specifically:

    m
            v or d         Corr (2000)    Corr (2002)
    22
            2.8                1.1                1.0
    22
           16.4                6.2                6.1

Does anybody know anything about this?

Also, if anyone has a 2001 Almanac and could check if the change occurred in 2001 or 2002, I would appreciate learning which.

    Stan
