Relevant to both GPS and Nautical Almanacs. (To ease you into it gently, quasars and the ICRF/ICRS have replaced the equator and equinox. There will be not more updating of RA's and Dec's of stars as J2000, B1950, ... Makes sense. The stars are not moving systemmatically; the earth's orientation and orbit are changing.)
