    Hughes Bubble sextant Mk IXA

One of these is on eBay right now. It's said to be in fine working
order; apparently overhauled by seller in England. I'd like to know
it's suitability for practice from my deck which faces north and where
the peripheral lines of sight due to shoulders of flanking hills only
    give me NW to NE.
So it's mostly going to be star sights at night.
I once had a Navy Mk. V and liked it a lot, especially the clockwork
averager. I can't tell if the Hughes has an averager, though there
does seem to be part of a key (cut off) at the edge of one photo.
    Thanks, Hewitt
