    How measure height of eye?
    From: Jim Thompson

How does one measure height of eye on big ships? On my small cruiser I've
simply gone around the boat and measured deck height above the waterline
using a tape, then added my eye height to that. I suppose big ships simply
use plans? Or is there a device or trick for doing it, maybe using the
sextant itself? Some day I might want to take sights on a cruise ship for
    example.
