    If you're out in the evening at this time of year identifying the navigational stars Regulus and Denebola in Leo see if you can spot any stars in the constellation Sextans (the sextant) below/above the clear form of the lion in the northern/southern hemisphere. Ironically with its brightest star a just above 5th magnitude it rather worthless for navigation. Circumpolar Octans is only slightly better,
