Wright was a sailor and why a houseboat connection comes up I have no idea.  A paperback Large 9x12 format is still available and which features a picture of a young Ridge White taking a sight.  Wright taught the course and sailed for Harvard, his dedication in the book is to his Harvard students.

Hope this might help.  Publisher was Cornell Maritime whose catalogue is part of shiffler publishing in PA.

    Hope this helps,

Googling suggests that you are looking for Celestial Navigation by Frances Woodworth Wright

I was browsing through some Cel Nav books earlier and happened upon a figure of a Houseboat of Time or House of Time. A house shaped figure used to explain the various time terms used in Cel Nav. Only after I left the store did I realize how useful this little drawing might be to me. Naturally I did not get the name of the book. Is anyone familiar with this little diagram and can tell me what book it was in? Alternatively, scan and post it on here.
