Byron:Doppler Shift was the way the old NAVSAT worked back in the 70ths the problem then was the SAT ran over the poles so you had to wait until it came over your horrizon, the wait could be 6 hours, but the accuracy was great, the Omega was continuious but in the Baltic and Med "BAD" in the ATLANTIC 3nm not bad for the 70ths.
