Thanks for catching that error Greg. It was way off but I didn't want to 'whitewash' the result so I included what I felt to be the one embarrassing sight of the group. I like the 0.2 better. I hope my math is better for this next one.
It is not easy to get low altitude sights using a mirror AH but it can be done. Here is an fun result from last night: (IC= +6.4)
Body local time Hs Refraction Ho Hc Intercept
Venus 20-31-44 9*07.8 -10.6 4*26.5 4*25.5 1.0T
I had to stand 30 feet back from the mirror to get this. The printed refraction table does not go this low so I used the NSO refraction figure. Venus was just at the roof line of the house across the street. I had to move to shoot past their chimney.

If Rigel Hs is 92* 53' + 6.4' I.C. = 92* 59.4' /2 = 46*
29.7' (not 46* 18.2' ?)
I'm getting an intercept of 0.2 away with this number
