I'm new to the group so forgive me if this is old news. Going through the
message archives I came across a good discussion comparing different versions of
the Ageton's tables - mostly the Bayless version v. the tables as printed in
pre-1995 versions of Bowditch. Is everyone aware of Henning Umland's version of
the Ageton tables? He has recalculated A and B values for every .2' instead of
the .5' found in the Bowditch tables. These tables can be downloaded from his
    website http://home.t-online.de/home/h.umland/index.htm under the freeware
section. I never have understood why anyone would use either HO 229 or HO 249 in
preference to Ageton. The only good argument I can give any credence to is the
greater accuracy of HO 229 but I believe Mr. Umland's version give comparable
accuracy - without interpolation and in only 90 pages of paper.
