Actually, I think I am familiar with the Intercept Method, but thank you for the hint.
I enjoyed reading about it again. The issue here refers to the tools, not the method, however.
I recently proposed a chart that allows finding the azimuth rather simply.
Then I discovered to my astonishment, it can also serve in finding hc - rather imperfectly but still usefully.
Gary, if you are reading this, would you please e-mail Rommel a copy of the diagram as I have no
access to my own CelNav files? He might not have one.
Regards
h
PS: Rommel, I am looking forward to some math related discussions when my computer is back.
I hope I can surprise you with another discovery!

Hanno mentions the Intercept Method used in HO 229 a good article on the method, plus a very detailed of how to compute the given results can be found at:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercept_method
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intercept_method
Having this link might assist Hanno while his computer is down and might also save him time and energy in reentering his data.
I love math and that is why I am a
Navigator!
