Greg:
Yes, I, too, like a folded version of paper size B or so. Also, there will be a change of the Azimuth Diagram: the repetition of the scales ( left = right, top = bot ) will be eliminated; there will be
left/top = sin and right/bot = cos. This will accommodate both applications with a single diagram. Also, the diagram will be made square which is more natural. And, since the folded version will be a rectangle when opened there will be space now for a legend describing the use. I think that will work.
Now the question
arises: What to do with the big space on the back? Rules for angles > 90? Rules for the true azimuth? Rules for the dip? An approximate perpetual almanac a la laPook? What else? And even with those there will be space left. Any good ideas?
And a last issue: Should colors be used or not? They can help tremendously as you saw but they cannot easily/cheaply be reproduced on your home computer. They also need protection from light and water. For that the diagram would probably need to be printed commercially but that I would not like. Yet, if it helps the navigator sufficiently it might be worthwhile.
Thank you for your inputs.

Hanno,
Your posted Hc diagram works as good as a starfinder right now. A larger folded version would be easier to read and worth making a prototype to compare. I,m not sure what the diagram which combines both azimuth and Hc reductions would look like. Having two diagrams is probably better.
