Jeremy, the old Royal Observatory, the National Maritime Museum, the park, and Cutty Sark, all make Greenwich a very enjoyable destination. And who can resist standing in both hemispheres at once (don't check with your GPS --it'll spoil the fun!). The display of Harrison's chronometers is very tasteful and appealing in their most recent setting. It's a very popular family destination, and on pleasant weekends the whole area can be a bit mobbed, according to the locals. Your wife will very likely enjoy the museums, but the crowds might be an issue. Off-season, it's no problem, but in the busy season, go in the morning.
