Here i a time sight I worked about a week ago.

    AM sight

    lat 41 06.5

    dec  4  46.8 S

    t 44 03.4 E

    From Norie ABC   A .9 N

                              B   .1 S

Subtacting  according to the  rules on the  tables gives C = .8 N

    From which Z = 58°.9 NE

Plotting on the graph gives 57°. From the ABC calculation I know that this is 57°NE. It was a morning sight so the E can be predicted.  The N is the non-elevated pole(not sure of the correct term) so we can deduce that Hanno's graph refers to the non-elevated pole.

I shouild repeat this with a PM sight but I am being pestered to go out shopping......
